Our History
- September 1981- Perry began working on tax returns and doing accounting with ATS, Accounting and Tax Services, a business in Stone Mountain, started by his dad and his brother.
- 1993- Perry went to work as a controller but continued to do tax returns for some of his most loyal clients in the basement of his home in Loganville.
- January 1998 - After ending his employment as a controller in 1997, Perry opened his own business in Loganville, next to Mr. Jeff’s store on Highway 81, doing monthly bookkeeping for small companies and individual and corporate tax returns.
- 2000 - Perry moved the business from the tiny office next to Mr. Jeff’s to the white house located at 2170 Highway 81, the business was incorporated, Acuff Accounting and Tax Services, Inc.
- May 2002 - The property at 1920 Highway 81 was purchased. Formerly the parsonage of Corinth Christian Church, an initial renovation was done to convert the home into an office.
- August 2014 - The business name was changed to Acuff Financial Services to reflect the scope of the business being extended beyond just accounting and tax preparation to include wealth management.
- January 2020 - Pete Flemming purchases the business from Perry, who assumes a part-time position continuing to do tax returns and meet with investment clients.
- October 2022 – Acuff Financial Services opens second location in Watkinsville

- November 2023- Acquired O’Neal, Broach and Still, adding a third location in Winder.
